It's been a bajillion years...

...since my last entry. Why is it that most people only find the need to write in their blogs when they are feeling down or upset? Ever since I finished college for the summer I have had nothing to complain about in regards to my life. Maybe that is why I haven't written anything in "a bajillion years." Anyhow, here's a quick update. The past several weeks have been great. I'm getting to spend a lot of quality time with my girlfriend and still managing to spend a good amount of time with the majority of my close friends. Me and some of these friends went to Scott's farm house that his dad has in Deleware this past weekend. Many good times were had...from water ballooning and badmittoning....to boardwalking, arcading, and mini golfing....'twas quite the enjoyable weekend. The only thing that could have made it better was if Amy's dad would have let her go and if a few of my other friends weren't out to sea, in PA, or in Spain. No matter....I'm going to the aquarium tomorrow after work with Amy, her friend Kirsten, and Kirsten's boyfriend Grant. It's been awhile since I've visited...so I'm looking forward to it. Hmm....I think that's about all for now...hopefully I'll write something again within the next decade.

Today was my last exam...so I am officially done with college until August. I am definitely looking forward to summer vacation. I'll probably only be working about 20 hours a week...so since I decided to say "fuck summer classes"....I will be free to do whatever I want for most of my vacation....I plan on spending a lot more time outdoors this summer....as long as the weather stays below "holy shit, that's hot"....I know some of my friends were discussing the possibility of going somewhere for a few days this summer....so hopefully that works out....I must say...I have never been looking forward to something as much as this year's school break....I have great friends who I would be lost without....I have an amazing girlfriend who I am falling more in love with every second of every day....what can I say...I'm just really happy with my life right now....I refuse to let the uncertainty of my future spoil the supremecy of the present...I figure if i live life now...the future will take care of itself

First things first. Disregard that title. It has nothing to do with anything and it will only cause post-comprehension anxiety in those who discover that this entry fails to even slightly acknowledge the aforementioned title. Now, on to new business.
I find it amusing when we feel the need to use unnecessary words to avoid using slightly inappropriate words, especially when the end result is an accidental pun. Allow me to elaborate. I was at Lake Waterford a week or so ago (for most of you who don't know, it's just a park with a lake) and I was reading this sign. It was the stereotypical sign found in proximity to every lake in the world that reads something like "DON'T FEED THE WATERFOWL OR ELSE!" Well, I noticed that the sign gave several reasons why we should avoid feeding the birds at all costs. One of the reasons was "feeding the wildlife causes excessive fouling in the lake." First off, I don't even know what that means. They are birds. They shit in the lake. I know they do that. But fouling? Just say the word "poop" already and get on with our lives. Are these birds playing baseball near the lake? "Here's the pitch..and OH...number 23, Big McGoose fouls another one off into the pond." That will teach those animals to keep their shenanigans away from the water. I find it even more amusing because the sign is referring to waterfowl. It's like the sign writers accidentally stumbled onto a pun. We can't have those birds FOULING in the lake. Good heavens!

It would be funny if....
1.) gravy was a soft drink flavor and you could get it from those fast food machines...refills anyone?
2.) lollipops could resist getting smaller no matter how long you sucked on them
3.) every animal in the world could be easily domesticated...thus greatly increasing the variety of household pets
4.) every time you turned on the shower, there was a one in ten chance that acid would come out instead of water
5.) carnivorous dinosaurs became unextinct and there was always a chance of randomly being eaten
6.) pumpkins developed the ability to talk after they were carved...and they were extremely rude
7.) boats were made of a substance that is dissolvable in water
8.) a plant's growth was unchecked...all plants never stopped growing
9.) sponges could retain an infinite amount of liquid
10.) instead of dodgeballs...the players threw grenades at each other

I have no idea what the title of this entry pertains to...nor do I have any idea of why I'm even writing an entry at this moment...I really do not know what to write about. Maybe I can comment on the fact that I just inappropriately ended my previous sentence with a preposition. I could say that it's not that big of a deal and that I will scarcely lose sleep over it. OR...I could say that it was a dreadful deed and rather than simply hitting the "backspace" button on my keyboard, I will continue to discuss the magnitude of my linguistic abuse. Who knows? The bottom line is that this entry serves no "real" purpose other than luring unsuspecting lurkers and contributors into a vast time waste vacuum of approximately 60 seconds...time will vary depending on a combination of literacy and reading speed.

I really had an amazing time this weekend. New York was very enjoyable...despite the crowds and cold temperatures. I'd like to go back again when it is warmer...there were a couple things we decided not to do because of the wind chill. I still say the city is overrated...but it was definitely better this time around. The only other time I went was several years ago around the holiday season. WAY too crowded for my tastes....Anyhow, not much else to talk about. I just want to get through the last 5 weeks of this semester and make it to summer. Here I go!!!
