Has anyone ever been assigned a 10 page annotated bibliography? Because damn...I just have. Of couse it is in my english class. You all remember the one...the one I shouldn't even have to take. Anyway, for those of you not familiar with annotated bibliographies...here's the break down. Basically, I have to find TEN (fucking ten) sources to back up this academic argument that I have to make. For each source, I have to write a summary and how I will use the information as part of my argument. To make things worse, all of the sources have to be found online....most in academic journals. Now I don't know about you..but finding any amount of sources online that apply directly to your topic is a pain in the ass. This means that this assignment is going to be a pain in the ass times ten. I do not know why the teacher would want to read all of this shit. There are 25 people in my class....so that is 250 pages that she has to read. Considering that we each need 10 sources....a lot of the pages are going to be extremely repetitive. There is only so much information that you can find about any one topic. To me, the entire assignment is a load of bullshit. What do you all think?

i distinctly remember now having to do something similar for my psychology class, only, it was two sources, not a fuckload.

teachers only do it because they can. i personally think they like seeing us run around like a chicken with its head cut off trying to do their bullshit work. to top it all off, after going through all the trouble to finish the assignment, most teachers dont even bother to read the entire thing.
